Subject: OUTSTANDING
ok. i finally get it. i have been going to jam-bands since the mid 80's. i love all music - and more than anything, i APPRECIATE TALENT. i see bands whose music i don't even really LIKE, just because they are TALENTED.

that being said, i have been hearing "buzz" about these guys on the jamband scene for a couple of years. i checked them out a couple of times with downloads from the archive, and even saw them once (albeit, a short set as part of the big summer classic). i didn't "get it." didn't understand what all the huh-bub was about.

i finally get it. not sure exactly what was standing in my way of hearing what these guys are capable of - but i can honestly say that they are the single most talented, creative, original, spontaneous, tight, and overall entertaining band on the scene. i mean no disrespect to ANY of the other bands out there, but these boys are in a LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. not open to debate.

that being said, i love this show. truly showcases their talents, jams, segues, "stews" and all the other intricacies i am only just starting to appreciate in this band.

i thank the lord above that i have found this band. already brought me more listening enjoyment than just about any band i've discovered since moe.

Subject: Great start off disc for new listeners. Great addition for all Umphreaks!
I'm not sure what the guy before me was talking about, but this show rocks. If you're new to Umphrey's or are looking to add to your Umphrey's collection this has plenty for you. The "Jazz Odyssey" --> "Sociable Jimmy" tracks show how well the band can jam and also helps to illustrate their musical versatility and variety of musical influences. Check "Hajimemashite" and "Kimble", both are very well done. Also, check "In The Kitchen", done amazingly well as always. The cover of the Talking Heads' "Making Flippy Floppy" caps this show for me. Get it! Get it! Get it!

Subject: Do Not Pass
Stop right here and d/l this show. These guys are great! What a great way to get people hooked on a band. Release killer matrix SBD/AUD recordings and let the folks make up their own minds. Try it, you'll like it!

By the way, the encore fits on disc 1 (set 1) if you don't want a one song orphan disc.

Subject: A+
This is one of the best shows I've heard this year, and I've heard all the '04 shows on this archive. Brendan's voice is in top form and the band backs it up with a killer performance. The All Things Ninja is off the hook.

Subject: smokin' UM show!!
I really dig their new material live....this show got me excited for the future of Umphrey's. Having just recently moved out west from Indiana and seeing countless shows while attending IU, it's great to see their fanbase growing out here! It's All in Time!!
